Single back flamed oil varnish Unbranded Full Size Violin fluting Advanced to ProfessionalIt was suggested this violin was made by Joseph Rodier, after looking at examples of his work I have my doubts. However, this violin is well made and sounds amazing. An excellent bargain for someone wanting master quality at a lower price.
The violin is in overall good condition, it does appear there was some scroll damage, likely from a drop that fractured off a sliver of the scroll side and cause a crack through the A peg on the treble side. The scroll has been repaired as shown, and a bushing repair in the past. The violin is now perfectly playable and has the scar to brag about its misadventures.
