This old violin was recently restored. The top was taken off to repair a extended saddle crack that ran into the soundpost region. A professional top soundpost patch was added by a local violin maker, using high hardness spruce for the best longevity and performance. The rest of the crack was properly cleated using spruce cleats and hot hide glue. The violin is now performance ready and ready for another century ahead.
This resonant violin has a beautiful color and full of vintage seasoned sound.
