The violin was owned by a woman that immigrated to the US from Europe. It was passed down through her family who no longer has a use for it and is now offered for sale.
Note the label does not say 'Made in Germany'...why? It was likely bought in Germany or Europe as the World War II was about to break out. Many europeans were coming to the USA due to this, and likely why the owner left as well. She likely purchased the violin there and imported it with her, explaining why the violin does not have the required 'Made in Germany' stamp on the label or on the violin.
