I was looking for a violin with soul, one that had not been constructed but crafted, one that had not sat on hooks on a wall its entire life but a violin that had history, one I could dream of where it had gone and where it had been played, one that already had a voice, a voice that was looking to be released again. And I found it at Revivo. I’m grateful to John for collecting and reviving instruments that deserve to have a home where they’re played, amidst a world that seems to have forgotten what “civilized” means remaining hopeful that as much of our generation rears itself apart, finds reasons to divide, will truly see music as a way to return to civilization and instead of creating dissonance will find within beautiful music the harmony of life. If that’s the case Revivo will have an instrument waiting for you! It was a pleasurable experience and I absolutely love my new (102 year old) violin. A bit more peg paste please! Play on.
